Flame Resistant Clothing is designed to minimize the wearer’s burn injury as a result of a flash fire or arc
flash fire. Unlike non-FRC, FRC does not continue to burn in open air, reducing the length of time the victim is exposed to flame and reduces the extent of injury. Most victims of flash fire and arc flash are not injured from the initial heat source, but more so from the clothing continuing to burn.
